Most difficult part of the Journey

Have you ever wondered what is the most difficult thing to do in the life of a person?

Ask yourself, what is the hardest part for you?

For me, the hardest thing to do is to start. Before starting blogging, I spent 6 months only thinking about it, to be more precise, procrastinating. It took me 6 months to eliminate negative thoughts and motivate me to start writing. Today I am really glad that I did so.

Now when I look around, I find many of my friends suffering from the same problems. They all have wonderful ideas in their heads and they are talented enough to pursue them. But unfortunately, because of their habit of procrastinating, they never start.

As I already said in https://digurself.in/2020/10/01/know-your-bodyguard-mind/, our mind is a bodyguard. To keep us safe projects all the negative possibilities in our minds. These possibilities make us procrastinate.

There is a line in ‘Think and grow rich’ that I found very beautiful, “Most ideas are stillborn and need the breath of life injected into them through definite plans of immediate action”. All our imaginations and creative ideas are a loophole that can take you from your present scenario to your desired future. The only requirement is that you have to start NOW. It is ok if you don’t know the future course of action. You will figure it out. If you weren’t capable of figuring it out, you would have never received the idea in the first place. These ideas are the opportunities that the universe is offering you because you deserve it. Trust that higher power and grab your chance.

Let me know your views on this.

  1. Great thoughts well put! Completely agree. The time to start is always now. The thing to do is the one that scares you the most. Procrastination has nothing to do with being lazy and everything to do with avoiding feelings we don’t want to. Start now and rip the bandaid off – and you’ll quickly get over those feelings. Once you have, momentum takes over – like a boulder rolling down the hill – things become much easier. The most difficult bit is almost always getting started. There’s no way around it of course – you’ve just got to get on with it. That’s life. Thanks Sruti – exactly the kick up the *** that I needed. Wishing you all the best 🙏
