“Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well”
Money, education, resources, and references are generally considered as the pillars of a successful person. Since the day we gained consciousness we saw everybody around us working towards all of these. As a result, we start considering these as the good cards of life. This is when we start doubting our chances of succeeding in our endeavors. Most of the time, we end up giving up on our goals, anticipating failure in advance.
Speaking of good cards always reminds me of a personality who is an inspiration to many- Helen Keller.
Born in June 1880, Helen developed an unknown sickness that deprived her of sight and sound for life. Such an incident would have been sufficient to make most of us lose hope, but that was not the case with her. Her parents and her teacher had put in all their efforts to educate her and their efforts finally paid off. Helen used her education as a weapon and made a memorable place for herself in history, a place that even those couldn’t make who had the good cards of life. The credit goes to Helen, her parents, and her teacher who did not give up and played well.
The good cards of life are not the pathways but only the support system that makes the journey easy. What drives us on that path is vision and motivation. If you have that you are unstoppable.
